Selective Color Edits
I used selective color to change the color in the eyes and to intensify the colors in the background to make them complementary colors. The first pic is dual complementary with orange, red, and blue. The second is complementary with orange and blue. I really like how the both turned out. :D

After:
After:
2. I took the photo, then lightened it and changed the color balance, then sharpened it. :D
3. It took me awhile to figure out how to sharpen but I feel it went well.

Rhythm
2. I set up the camera on a tripod and timer, then kept taking different pictures in different positions, trying to make sure I didn't overlap anywhere. Then I pieced them all together using layer masks and then trimming it down with brushes.
3. My strength I think was not overlapping and then putting them in with a little an outline as possible. My weakness was the lighting, it was taken at my house which has a very yellowish light, I couldn't make it less yellow enough. What I believed went well was the mood of the photo, it ended up just as I had planned for and wanted. And I also managed to keep the shadows in it. A frustration was the hair, that gets pretty translucent on the outside so it was hard to put in without looking weird. What surprised me was how hard it would be, but also how fun.

Portraits Blur+Filter+Lighting Effect
2. I used a big light thingy to cast light on Melanie. I also turned off all the lights in the room to get good contrast. I surface blurred all the pictures and exsaggerated the blue in the eyes. Then I added a filter and Lens flare to two.
3. My streangh was the blur, I really liked doing that, my weekness was the filter, I couldn't really find the right mood. I loved the contrast that the dark room made and I love how the lens flare turned out and the Blur. I didn't like, however, the fact that in the third one the face was a bit out of focus. I was surprised at how Melanie's face wouldn't lighten with the lens flare, I don't know if I like ho you can't see her face.
White Balance Vig+choice
2. I made sure to keep everything in ligt and use the right white balance mode. Then I adjusted the colors so that the correct colors popped out, like the blue sky or the light water. Then I added the green vignette to accent the green money. 3. I was frustrated that I couldn't get the right angle with the water without it getting the camera wet. I really liked it in the end though, it didn't have much color in it so the black and white was a good choice in my head. I also really like the angle I got on the money. If I could change it I'd put a bag around my camera and take it so it wouldn't get wet.
Artist Statement
Part 1.
I create art because I love to express myself though a visual outlet, it's very meaningful to me. Lot's of things inspire me like anime, life experiences, and friends. I express my inspiration in a way that brings out the beauty in whatever it is, even if it isn't pretty to start with. The type of work I've made reflects my interests and hobbies. I am looking forward to taking pictures that will reflect me more and teach people more about me.
Part 2.
Annie Leibovitz
1. She takes photos of celebrities.
2. Digital photo, she uses a lot of editing to sometimes make her pictures very surreal.
